Hi everyone,
We have been very busy this summer and now that it is winding down, we have some upcoming things that we would like to both inform you of as well as remind you about.
First of all, Monday September 1st is Labor Day and we will be closed.
Also, Mother Goose Times curriculum will begin again the first week of September! After experimenting with it last year, we decided that since the older toddlers and preschoolers had such a blast with it, it is was worth the investment again this year.
Next, we are having our second annual Family Childcare B-B-Q on Sunday, September 14th beginning at 3PM and everyone is welcome! We will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments and bottled water, and we are asking that everyone bring their families favorite NUT FREE side dish and anything else they would like. If the weather is warm enough, we have a sprinkler, so bring a bathing suit and towel for your child(ren). Current, future and past families are welcome to join us!
Third, As you know, we have been building a shade structure in the playground. We have hired a carpenter that will be coming on September 20th and 21st. We are looking for volunteers to come on one or both days from 8 - 4 or 5; any amount of time you can pop in is helpful, but please sign up so we have an idea of the size of the crew for the carpenter...who is Samantha Breen's father...grandfather to Raegan, Colin & Jace. (NO experience is necessary, there is a job for everyone) There is a sign up sheet on the board. We will provide lunch for those here at that time and a plentiful supply of ice cold bottled water for the day. We have not determined the date yet, but in appreciation of your volunteering, we will choose a Friday to stay open late for you to be able to have a date night, all you need to bring is jammies so bed time is easier for you! Instead of picking up your child after work, you can leave him/her/them until after your date! An important thing to remember, is that due to safety concerns concerning the tools , ladders and other hazards, being used we are not letting kids come on that day.

Finally, it was nice to see Raegan, Colin, Jacob & Matty this month! It was also a pleasure for all of the children to meet Jace. To all of you...don't be strangers!
SAVE THE DATE:
As we have told most of you, on Wednesday October 8th we will be closed for a personal day. This is when the judge has asked for Jen to reappear in court for modification of Laura's medical custody so that she can make medical decisions that she feels are necessary for her daughter.
